What the pointy end was for
Before there were pop-tops, there were pull-tabs. Before there were pull-tabs, there was the "church key." Years ago all beverage cans had to be opened with a can opener like the one shown.
Perhaps you've seen one layin' around at someone's house or even used the round end of this device to open a bottle.
And here's a bit of lore about Schlitz from Wikipedia:
On June 10, 1982, the Joseph Schlitz Brewing Co. was acquired by Stroh Brewery Company of Detroit, Michigan. The regular beer is still produced, though in relatively small quantities, by the Pabst Brewing Company, along with three malt liquors (Schlitz Malt Liquor, Schlitz Red Bull, and Schlitz Bull Ice).
Fastest Celica ever

Here's a Toyota Celica, probably during a "run whatcha brung" event at a strip. It's obviously set up to drag, having wheelie bars and all, but the engine doesn't sound like it has big muscle. However this little gem can still shit 'n' git down the quarter mile.
Here's the vid, albeit they spend a bit too long in staging.

Dude! What were you thinking this time?

If Microsoft was in the construction business
I've scoured the webs and came up with a few pics that typify the M$ style of development and added a little "artistic license" to this theme.
If M$ was in construction, they'd build it, but they just wouldn't "get it".

Babe in briefs

The tables are turned when you watch a babe with the same morning routine as you have. Oh, yeah. All the scratching and mannerisms that are truly male oriented are depicted herein, performed by a babe. Take a new look at yourself.
Somewhat NSFW.

Beer Pong
I must confess that this is the first I’ve heard of this interesting game of skill and stamina and it sounds like it’d be fun, but ultimately make for a very short evening and l-o-o-o-ng morning.

He'll just get another one

Chicago Bears linebacker Lance Briggs had a little accident on the Edens Expressway in Chicago recently. Seems he wrapped his Lamborghini around a lampost while talking on his cell phone at the same time he was adjusting his underpants, participating in a "Y.M.C.A." arm dance and looking for his lost "good luck Sacajawea gold dollar" under the passenger front seat.

A veritable stunner

Please feast your eyes on Cora Skinner, a beauteous brunette from Alexandra, Virginia. Cora is a Savvy girl and a welcomed link. I'll drink to that.
More of this luscious beauty here.
Scroll for her pictures.
D.I.Y. Beer

I've often thought of dabbling in the science of zymurgy, or brewing your own beer. Buy some yeast, hops, malt, whatever and mix up a batch just like Al Capone did. Unfortunately, Wal-Mart doesn't sell hops and the beer store is right across the street.
Popular Science has an interesting article on a beer brewing machine created by a couple of guys in a garage (sound familiar?) All it takes for you to build one of these machines is a small investment of time (3 months) and money ($4,300).
This is a very interesting read complete with a 5-minute video and slide show. Check it out right here.

It's "BACN"!!!
There's a new term floatin' around the webs. The word is "bacn" and it has to do with email. Bacn is a mail message you receive that isn't spam but it's not something you have to deal with right now. It's better than spam.
e.g.: "Your bank statement is ready." or "There was a reply to your post on the UmptySquat forums."Get it? If you'd like to read a brief article on bacn go here.
Again Ballmer
I really like to tease Ballmer because he's just such an unpredictable clown. I posted Ballmer's "Developers, etc." video of the speech he gave. Some guy has remixed that video and the "Dancing Monkey Boy" video together, added a cool soundtrack and some effects to produce something that is truly scary. I laugh out loud every time I watch this.

Armchair Cruisers

Get your own engine powered easy chair from
armchaircruisers.com. These unique butt-huggers are a lazy man's dream.
They run in the neighborhood of $5-grand. I didn't find any info as to horsepower, top speed or standing quarter mile times however.
Check 'em out even though I experienced their website loading a little slowly.

Groovy girl redux
She's back with a bigger hat! All movin' and groovin'. This video is about 5 minutes long but worth the watch. And we find out she's from Ireland.

The ugliest cars
Click the link and view a slideshow of what Business Week thinks are the ugliest cars ever.
I take umbrage at their choice of the Corvair, and note that there are a lot of old AMC cars in the selection.

Bikini jeans

The Japanese are at it again. Jeans with a bikini inside... sewn into... hard to describe.
You have to see for yourself here.
Stupid personal ads

Some folks with either a little or a lot of money are desperate for someone else just like them.
They take out ads in local papers or blare their message on a billboard.
Here are some outrageous and humorous ones.

50% MORE! FREE!!

I'm going to start two new weekly features here on SixPackTech. I know what guys like besides beer, cars and toys... and that's BABES.
I know many if not all of you have seen a naked babe in pictures or in real life, so why beat around the bush (pfft!) With that in mind, I'd like to post a pic or two at least on a weekly basis to start. Ya know, see how it goes.
I'd like the pix to be tasteful and thought provoking while somewhat satisfying to your prurient interests without any gynecology involved, if you get my drift.
One feature will be The Butt of the Week in which a nice naked backside will be held for your visual scrutiny.
The other will be more interactive. Nat or Not. A nice photo of a nice set where you, the nice reader, can vote whether you think they're natural as God had intended or artificially enhanced.
This will be coming soon, hopefully later today. So stay tuned.
84 year old guy still driving his first car

No, it's not the guy on the left. The guy on the left is Henry Ford who did not invent the automibile, but rather perfected the auto assembly line.
Anyway, here's a story of a guy who's 84 and still owns his first Ford. A 1929 Model A. It's got about 200K miles on an engine transplant and still running fine as is the 84 year old guy.
Here's a link on how to start a Model A motorcar.
And finally, one of Ford's legendary vehicles, the Edsel.

About those Haitian UFOs...
I showed three parts of this viral video here but left the decision tacitly up to the reader as real or fake.
Snopes.com (the urban legend verifier/debunker) now has a writeup about this "phenomenon". And it includes a MacBook Pro.
Read the Snopes report right here.
Body piercings, etc.
Yugh! Body piercings. It's one thing to get one, another to see one who has one.
Check out ten of the most grotesquely pierced and bodily modified people ever to have a dollar to blow on stupid stuff. Beauty, in the eye of the beholder, has taken a leave of insanity.
But wait there's more.
Check out the body mods here.
Microsoft to unveil Zune phone

Perhaps you've heard of the Zune, Microsoft's answer to the iPod. No? That's ok. It's not very popular and, just like other MS products, has its bag of usability problems.
Now MS is set to unveil an iPhone killer. The end-all and be-all to Apple's cool handheld gem.
Watch this short video which demonstrates the Zune phone's upcoming capabilities.
It's ok to laugh out loud at your monitor.

Computer desk made from computer parts

A company upgrades a computer center. Company has to remove the old computers and recycle the parts. One enterprising individual designs and builds a computer desk using many of the defunct boards and parts.
In my opinion, this is awesome. I'm jealous.
