Tuesday, Sept. 5th, at a media event in San Francisco, Apple announced to a packed house that the entire iPod product line has been updated. Weeks before, as the Apple fanboys are accustomed to doing, rumors ran rampant across many of the tech sites on the Web.
About 95% of the rumors came true. Follow along below as we briefly clue you in on what was announced.
The iPod Shuffle stays pretty much the same only now it's available in red. OOOO! $80.
The iPod Nano is now dubbed "the fat Nano" as it has this squatty body. Plays video. $150 for the 4GB and $200 for the 8GB models. Hmmm.
Now called the iPod Classic, the traditional unit has more curved edges and the capacities are upped a bit. $250 for 80GB and $350 for 16o GB. What? A hunnert sixty???
Brand new. The iPod Touch. Touch sensitive screen, WiFi, web browser, an veritable iPhone without the phone. $300 for 8GB and $400 for the 16GB. Sweet.
