Not quite a flash mob, not quite Candid Camera, this is a heartwarming video of a classy prank played an a California little league team. There's no cruelty involved but perhaps rather a gesture of faith in our youth.
Let's take an average little league baseball game and make the players feel like they're in the big leagues.
You'll be tickled.
Watch the video below, then check out this link for more info on this event.

April Fool's Day
I was going to foist an April Fool prank on you Readers but I figured that we're all above that. Rick-rolling seems to be a new trend going around the Internets and I have the video. But I figured, "Nah. How stupid can you get? Everybody's doing it."
Instead, I'll play nice. Shown below are some really great office prank pictures which are nondestructive but involve a lot of time, both in the setup and in the clean up.

Lamp - not lamp - yes lamp
Remember this photo? I posted this, oh, about a month ago.
The premise was, lamp? Or thong?
Yesterday someone posted on a site that we should all give the picture a second look. Another photo followed on the site.
Then chaos hit. It's kinda funny what happened when the guy related about how much traffic he got because of it and also one other interesting fact. He tried to pull a fast one on the astute and very observant readers.
Check it out here.

"Virus" for your Mac
OMG! A virus for the Mac!
Calm down, true believers, it is and it isn't. This little applet is more of a prank and completely harmless. It doesn't replicate itself. It doesn't send copies of itself to everyone on your mailing list. It runs once, randomly, and that's it.
The Newton Virus is more of an April Fool's joke than anything else. One interesting fact about this doodad is that it fully utilizes the motion sensor in a MacBook or MacBook Pro.
Breath easy and check out more info right here. Then watch the video demonstration below.

D.I.Y. ghost

Quite cool and quite interesting. I'm surprised we haven't heard about this sooner... a build-it-yerseff ghost.
All you need is a length of moldable chickenwire and some time.
Here are a set of pictures on how to do it. Not a lot of instructions, just pictures.
Boo!

Gizmodo pranks the CES
The Consumer Electronics Show (CES for those who need an explanation) just finished this week on Friday. Some staffers from the gadget website Gizmodo.com attended. The CES as reported across the web was, for the most part, a snore. Nothing new and a lotta crap.
After seeing all there was to see, and probably seeing nothing of newsworthiness, one of the Gizmodo guys decided to have a little fun. He surreptitiously whipped out his TV-B-Gone and started playing "Blackout" with the LCD screens. Imagine the fun and the hilarity when, during one of the most important tech shows of the year many companies started having trouble with their displays. Imagine no more. Witness the video below.
Consequently, the dude's actions got him banned from CES forever and a fortnight.
Yes, nonviolent and nondamaging vandalism. A toast.
Fun with tech and filming it. A toast.
Getting caught... well... what can I say? It's news.
