Real live Simpson's house

A home in Nevada was "Simpsonized" for a contest in 1997. It has since been sold and has been de-Simpsonized by the new owner.

But there's a grunch of pictures of what it looked like right here. It's amazing the amount of detail that's gone into each room of the joint. The car, the logs in the fireplace and the kitchen.

Doctor uses portable drill for brain surgery

Brain surgery with a Bosch. Doctor Henry Marsh is the ultimate plugger; making do with what you got.

Physician Henry Marsh has been using a standard Bosch power drill to do brain surgery. Twice a year, the London-based surgeon assists colleague Igor Petrovich in Kiev, Ukraine where high-end medical equipment, such as a £30,000 medical drill, is unavailable. So Marsh improvised.
What a guy. The doctor, I mean. The patient(s) is/are not mentioned.
