Pulling the plug on the Ford Ranger


FoMoCo is in trouble and it's trying to get back into the good graces of American consumer. So it's killing off the ubiquitous Ranger small pickup truck come 2009.

They're even gonna kill off the engine casting plant that provided power to these mini-haulers.

Half convertible, half town car, this unique car has a 100 hp engine and the body was assembled using glue and bolts.

Antarctica's Condition 1 weather


The South Pole is known for the worst weather in the world. There are 3 conditions for what the weather is like: 3 = not bad; 2 = pretty lousy; and 3 = Great Googly Moogly!

Wired Magazine picks the 10 goofiest aleins that gave Kirk and Spock problems.

This is a great review of what special effects for tv looked like way back then. Looking at these creatures from a today point of view, one can see just how lame the stuff really was.
