VW to redo the Bug?

Volkswagen has been working on a "city car" for urban masses. Pictures show a slight resemblance to the Beetle but's not a true Bug. It's called the "City Expert". Yeah, Expert.

It will once again have the engine in the rear but how many cylinders it will have has not been announced.

Ahh, vee-dub... I remember the good old days.

You can read a little more here.

Bad day for a crook

Guy tries to burgle a liquor store. Luck is not with him as everything goes wrong.

Hollywood could never have come up with something this hilarious.

Outrageous sculptures

From the "You call that art?" department comes pix of weird and bizarre statues on public display in different parts of the world.

Some pix may be deemd as NSFW due to depictions of concrete and marble weiners and volvos (sic).

Babes of tech

It may sound strange to some, but I enjoy a Sunday full of tech related video podcasts. It starts out with GeekBrief TV, Cranky Geeks, Command N and others. I usually finish up with Ask a Ninja leaving me time to ponder the Ninja's whacked out humor and wondering, "Where the hell does he come up with this stuff?"

On a daily basis, depending on time, I get all up to date on Apple news from about a dozen sites. Then it's off surfing the general tech sites for industry news where I get info on the Web, new trends and perhaps a Microsoft snafu.

While I'm often amused and entertained while I'm geeking out, I recently had an epiphany. Doh! There are babes in tech! Jeez, I'm such a guy. Yes, there are very attractive ladies on the Web and I've found a few that are just drop-dead gorgeous. Not only are these women beautiful, but they are also intelligent and well informed.

First, from Revision 3's InDigital vidcast, is Jessica Corbin. She of the auburn hair and the eyes that say, "I know what you're thinking." She's been in front of the camera for years and is also a fitness fanatic. It's a pleasure watching her show
"InDigital looks at the latest gadgets and high tech products that define life in the modern world." -Revision 3 site.

Next, the host of GeekBriefTV is Cali Lewis. She's laid back, talkative, well informed and a human who makes a flub in presentation from time to time. Her outtakes are usually shown in the final few seconds of her show. She's the typical girl next door who would probably fit right in at any social gathering, from a TupperWare party to beer blast. And she knows her gadgets.

Finally for now, is Natali del Conte. I first spotted her on the Cranky Geeks podcast and my first thought was "OMG! Who is this babe?" She's a stunner with a face that could have come from the frescos of ancient Rome or Greece. Recently, she's doing a podshow that's on three times a week, Tues, Wed. and Thu. called TeXtra which I now have bookmarked as one of my 3-times-a-week visits. Natali is also a girl-next-door type, but more than likely has a beauty contest title in her past. But her vitals state that she's an established technology journalist having written for quite a few tech pubs. Natali has my vote as the #1 tech babe on the Web so far.
