Mattel has a new toy for kids: the Hot Wheels Radar gun.

Judging from the video, it looks like it works.

Now kids will while away their time sitting in the breakdown lane of their local interstate clocking cars as they go by.

Those crazy Japanese

Batter gets hit by a pitch.

He winces in pain and gets mad.

He charges the pitcher.

Woz again

I've prviously posted an old Datsun commercial featuring a young Steve Wozniak from back in his halcyon days. The Woz has resurfaced anew, a little older and a little chubbier with a remake of that old commercial.

First, a little background: Woz is a Segway fanatic. I think he rides to the toilet. He plays Segway polo with some other fanatics and his antics are well known throughout Apple fanboy land.

The car in question is a Nissan 350Z Anniversary Edition which will be auctioned off (asking $100,000!) and the proceeds will be going to charity.

Speaking of serpentine belts, a company has created a belt-driven wristwatch. Great idea.

Just don't drop it in the oil-drain pan.

Popular Mechanics has compiled a list of basic skills every man should know. It's a good list, although one's own budget constraints may prevent honing your style on some of these.

I'd like to add:
26. Power-shift a 4-speed muscle car off the line.
27. Change an engine serpentine belt.
28. Build a box out of wood.
29. Compliment a woman so that she never forgets you.
