New Get a Mac ads

The new Mac ad features the same two guys in a bit called, "Office Stress."

Check it out.

Interestingly, the format for the Get a Mac ad has now been emulated with a great ad for the television show Numb3rs. It's quite good, actually. Great pants (cuffs) on the guy on the left.

50 greatest comedy sketches

Ernie Kovacs was the first to pioneer comedy over the airwaves, even before Lucy and Desi. Since then there have been many good comedy shows but the great sketches are peppered all over, few and far between.

However, Nerve.com has compiled a list of 50 of the best comedy sketches ever made right here. With videos.

Skim through these and see what's there. Then come back after work and jump on your home computer to spend some more time.

The most sweartastic movies

Find a stick. Better yet, find about ten sticks. Then start shaking them one at a time at each instance. When one breaks, get another. Shake the stick.

Why?

Here's a list of movies which have more f-bombs, curse words and foul language than you could shake ten stcks at.

Stupid and ironic game show answers

Yes, people still watch game shows on TV.

Some of those people become contestants on game shows.

Some of these contestants are sorta stupid.

Some of these stupid contestants are very lucky.

Watch below.

Dragonball Z - the movie

If you were into Dragonball Z as my kids were a few years ago, you'll be amazed and astounded (maybe) that it be made into a movie. It's in shooting right now and will be released sometime in 2009.

Here's a link to short announcement and one at the IMDB.

Movies - see these before you die

This is the embodiment of all things which define a "guy." Far from chick flicks, these are the movies with the baddest cars, action, explosions, chases, mayhem and sometimes stupidity which define the American male.

Check out the list here, then save it for future reference. Chances are, you've already seen half of them.

Jackie Chan IS the MAN!

Jackie Chan does all his own stunts. What is this guy, goofy? No. He's a legend in the making.

Chan's like a meld of Evel Knievel and Bruce Lee with a comic overtone.

Ya gotta hand it to the guy for keeping us entertained when his broken bones have healed.

Here's a nice feature video featuring his top 10 stunts.

Cadbury's suicidal creme eggs

Happy Easter! I had to take the time to post this interesting and perhaps disturbing (for some) flash video created by the folks at Cadbury who make those delicious creme-filled chocolate eggs.

Take some time, relax and watch this unusual video starring the eggs who are dying to show you what they're made of.

In the lower right, watch the two mousetrap vids. Crazy!

Real live Simpson's house

A home in Nevada was "Simpsonized" for a contest in 1997. It has since been sold and has been de-Simpsonized by the new owner.

But there's a grunch of pictures of what it looked like right here. It's amazing the amount of detail that's gone into each room of the joint. The car, the logs in the fireplace and the kitchen.

Take this gadget quiz

Bizarre quiz, but fun.

You're given the name (just the name, no picture) of a product. You decide whether it's a torture device or a gadget from Bed Bath & Beyond.

I would suppose that familiarity with the B B & B would give you an edge, but I've never been there (as far as I can remember or admit). Still... my results are below.

10 questions. Untimed.

Ready? Take the quiz here.

Dancing walrus

This tamed tusker can bust some moves even without his tusks. (Gasp! Maybe it's a female! Who knows?)

This vid has been going around the 'Net like wildfire. If you haven't yet seen it, it's just below.

A more subdued soundtrack than the previous post's featuring (I think) Whacko Jacko on vocals.

Enjoy.

Incredible Hulk trailer

He's back. The one guy in most need of anger management therapy will be gracing the screens this summer.

The Hulk, as shown in the trailer is pitted against some other evil, hideous mega-creature who do battle in the streets and cause millins of dollars in damage to the city's infrastructure.

Click the link to view the 2-minute trailer and see what you can make of it. The action doesn't really start until 46 seconds from the end or thereabouts.

Watch the trailer, make some mental notes and wait for more video scenes to appear. I dunno 'bout this one.

IronMan trailer

Coming this summer, IronMan will hit the theaters. The trailer looks great and may be one of those movies where I actually haul my ass out of the computer chair and pony up for admission to see this at the local cinema.

The trailer is shown below with an opening sountrack by AC/DC, finishing up with the Black Sabbath classic.

Three-piece iCombo band

I posted earlier about the iAno, an app that turns your iPhone or iPod touch into a piano.

Some guys have taken it a step further by combining the tonal abilities of other devices and created a musical selection.

Check out the video below.

The Little Red Wagon

Sunday! Sunday! Sunday! At beautiful U.S. 30 Drag Strip! ...Where the great ones Run! Run! Run!
(Text size indicates echo effect above. Use your imagination.)

Back in the late '60s and early '70s, I remember good times at good ol' U.S. 30 Dragstrip somewhere in Indiana. Four or five of us teens would pile into car (and, yes, calling "Shotgun!" was in back then too) and make the trip out to the boonies.

One of the best and most memorable exhibition runs was performed by Bill "Maverick" Golden while driving the "Little Red Wagon," a Dodge truck with a 426-inch Hemi engine positioned behind the cab in the bed of the truck. That sucker would wheelstand the entire length of the quarter mile. It'd turn some great times, but it's entire purpose was to wow the crowd. Which it did. We had never seen the likes of this before. Ever.

We had some talk amongst ourselves as to how Golden steered the beast down the track. What we deduced was that there was a hole cut in the floorboard for Golden to see and he steered with right and left braking levers which were connected to the rear wheels. As yet, I haven't verified if, in fact, that deduction is true. A nice article on the Little Red Wagon can be found here.

Whatever the case, I'd like to share these videos of the legendary Little Red Wagon doing his thing. Enjoy on your monitor as I enjoyed in person way back when. (Note: sound levels are screwy here. Be careful if you're a cubicle rat.)

Indiana tomboy, A.J. Alexander

Go get the Visine before going any further. To get you guys through the week once again I'm bringin' some babe bounty to stimulate your optic nerves, imaginations and that other word that I can't think of..

A.J. Alexander grew up in Indiana (a suburb of Chicago) and ultimately landed a role in American Summer.

The folks at Savvy took a shine to this stunning brunette and her worthy of pictorial gallery.

Check out A.J. in all her ravishing-ness-osity right here.

If you were a punctuation smudge

Take this short 5-question quiz and find out what punctuation mark you'd be based on your answers.

I turned out as a Q-mark. I don't know what all the possibilities one could be if one could be a punctuation mark. Don't know if diacritical marks are included. If they were, I'd probably turn out to be a schwa or an umlaut or that upsidedown e doohickey. My partner, Miguel may turn out as a tilde. Sales people could be exclamation points. Who would be a pipe (the mark above the \)? And what the hell is that thing below the tilde? It's a `. Can you see it? And did you know the # is, in some circles, called an octothorpe? And there's an interesting story behind how the @ got associated with the Internet.

Wait. Where the hell am I going with this? Hold on; lemme reread.

Oh yeah. Take the punctuation quiz right here and report back in the comments. I will obviously question your results.

Blue Man Group

This is a rather long (8 mins.) video of a performance of the the Blue Man Group featuring a chick who calls herself Venus Hum performing I Feel Love by Donna Summers.

The first half of the video is actually quite amusing. The second half is damn near mind blowing.

I heard stories of how entertaining and loud the Blue Man Group is in a live concert. Maybe that's why they don't have any ears.

Enjoy below.

Ultra, over-the-top, uber geeky home theaters

You gotta see this. Some people have the wherewithal to spend more money on their home cinemas than most of us earn in a year. Before taxes.

The furnishings and decor are outlandish and this isn't even considering the amount of tech that's hidden in an air conditioned closet nearby. And the sound system.

Popcorn, anyone? Please don't stick your chewing gum under the seat.

More outrageous pictures are here.
